This AMV has been premiered at Japan Expo AMV Contest 2009 and got 3rd place. I was trying to replicate de success of Galaxy Bounce but didn’t quite get there and ended up with this project which is very simple without anything really new or original.

I completed this project in a very short time. I don’t remember much about the process, I just managed to complete the timeline without thinking too much about it. Most visual effects come from the original footage so this is really a basic AMV.

Genius Party is a compilation of 6 short weird OAV by Studio 4°C. I must say that I didn’t watch any of them, I just put it on my timeline and looked for pretty pictures so I have no idea what it is about. The OAV I used is Limit Cycle.

The Galaxy Pad title is a private joke that came to me as I was at a Japan/manga convention and I met a member of the french AMV community (Reznic) who recognized me while I was trying to remember from where I knew his face. He didn’t tell me who he was and started talking about my AMVs saying that he really liked my Galaxy Pad something AMV (he mixed Magic Pad and Galaxy Bounce on purpose) and while I was trying to correct him, he finally told me who he was.

When I was done with the editing and was looking for a title, I thought I was the only one who made an AMV with Limit Cycle but I then saw an AMV made by Reznic few months ago who was using it which reminded me of this story.
