When I started making this, I had a much different amv in mind, but the concept behind it was mostly the same. I wanted to create an antithesis to the themes portrayed in most Violet Evergarden amvs, and use effects that most editors would agree completely clash with the animation style. I hope that viewers with stylistic preconceptions can understand the work itself, rather than what effects look trendy. My goal was not to make something ugly, but to make something nuanced. Although this isn’t the best that I’m capable of right now, I’m proud of how it turned out and hope you all can enjoy it too 🙂
